How to get to the CSHT by road

From The South (Edinburgh):

Head over the Forth Road Bridge and go North on the M90. Do not take the first turn off for Perth – wait until you have crossed the Friarton Bridge over the Tay. Take the turnoff at the end of the bridge and follow the signs to Perth. Over the next mile, or so, you will begin to see signs for Scone Palace. Follow these signs until you pass the main entrance to Scone Palace. Approximately half a mile later you will see signs for the Central Scotland Horse Trials.
From the South (Glasgow)

Follow the signs for Stirling on the M80 out of Glasgow. When you see the sign for the A9 to Perth, take this road and follow it until you reach Perth. Just before you enter Perth you will come to a large roundabout (Broxden roundabout). Take the third exit from this roundabout (signposted for Dundee). Follow this road and take the first turn off. You should find yourself heading over the Friarton Bridge at this point. Take the turnoff at the end of the bridge and follow the signs to Perth. Over the next mile, or so, you will begin to see signs for Scone Palace. Follow these signs until you pass the main entrance to Scone Palace.100 yards later, on the right hand side, you will find the Racecourse Stables. Approximately half a mile later you will see signs for the Central Scotland Horse Trials, on your left.

From the North

Head South on the A9 until you reach the outskirts of Perth. You will come to a large roundabout (Inveralmond Roundabout – next to Caithness Glass factory) at which you should turn right (in this case, the second exit). At this point you should still be on a dual carriageway. Approximately two miles after this, you will come to another large roundabout (Broxden roundabout). Take the second exit from this roundabout (signposted for Dundee). Follow this road and take the first turn off. You should find yourself heading over the Friarton Bridge at this point. Take the turnoff at the end of the bridge and follow the signs to Perth. Over the next mile, or so, you will begin to see signs for Scone Palace. Follow these signs until you pass the main entrance to Scone Palace. 100 yards later, on the right hand side, you will find the Racecourse Stables. Approximately half a mile later you will see signs for the Central Scotland Horse Trials, on your left.
