Book now for training day on 30 April

Join coaches David Gatherer and Sue Hendry to brush up on your XC skills from BE80T to Intermediate (that's heights from 80cm to 1m15 - or 2ft8" to 3ft10" if you prefer).  Whether you're new to BE, need a bit of practice for the coming season or fancy trying a few fences at a new height this training day is for you.  More information and booking form here. 

Builders busy again . . .

You know it's cold when . . . . even the fences need to huddle up to stay warm!
You know it's time to stop when . . . the builders build benches so they can sit down with their feet up!
And just so they don't have to do all the work, they've left this one for you - can you guess what it will be?

Four more fences ready for the painters 

Thanks to the dedicated team of builders, two more intermediate fences and two more novice fences have been added to the stockpile for Scone in April. 

Now all they need is a touch of paint and they'll be ready to go, so if you're good with a paintbrush let Grace know (see below) and we'll see you on 4 March.

With our course builders busy building lots of lovely new fences for this season, can you spend an hour or two on 4 March to help us turn the basic bare-wood-frames into the beautiful painted-and-ready-to-go fences that will appear on course?  And of course you'll get a sneak preview of how the new fences will look!  

Please wear old clothes (warm ones!) and bring gloves.  10am start at Dunbog, nr Newburgh.

No previous experience required, all we ask is that you let us know that you're coming along - just email gracemoran@hotmail.co.uk and we'll give you directions.

Who will be crowned Scottish Intermediate and Novice Champions 2012?

Thanks to two super sponsors, Central Scotland Horse Trials are offering big prize money for the winners of the Scottish Intermediate and Novice Championship classes on 11 August 2012.  Many partnerships already have their qualifying place, and there are still plenty of chances to qualify throughout the 2012 season.

It's back!  Training Day on 30 April 2012

Yes, we're delighted that the training day is back for 2012.  The ever-popular David Gatherer is confirmed, with other instructors to be announced shortly.

Can we build it? Yes we can!

Well Brian the Builder (and his apprentice Dave) couldn't even wait until the new year to get started on more fences for April.  Here's the latest addition to the Central Scotland portfolio, a lovely keyhole fence for the Intermediate track. We understand there's a Novice one ready too, but it was too camera-shy to be caught on film.

Rumour has it that the builders are back in the shed tomorrow, so keep checking back for more updates . . . .

2012 April classes confirmed

Central Scotland Horse Trials have confirmed dates and classes for April as follows:

Saturday: BE90, BE90Open, Novice, CIC1* and Sunday: BE100, BE100Open, OI and CIC2*

August (provisional) - BE80(T), BE90, BE90Open, BE100, BE100Open, as well as N, I, Scottish N & I Champs
